About the Author: Maziyar Heidari

Born in Kermanshah in 1969, Maziyar Heidari.M began his musical studies from his early childhood. His first academic experience was to be student of Master Ebrahim Sepehri who himself was one of the best students of well-known master of Setar Ahmad Ebadi. He learned Tar and Tanbur at the same time and became familiar with skillful masters like Asadolah Farmani known as Gahvareh, and his brother Yadollah Gahvareh.

The result of his hard long work experience and research is to write the book secret of instrument in making Tar. The other works of him is to set diverse work-shops both in Iran and other countries, and, also fixing the old musical instruments of museums.

He also tries to do more research in this way specially making the Tar like his ancestors, and, also teaching music to make more steps to make this art rich.
